AUDITIONS

The WBP will hold regular auditions for students aged 8-19yrs, either;

• wishing to participate in the youth ballet productions 
•  to gain audition experience and receive a written critique
• to have the possibility of being invited to a 1/2 day of masterclasses

We feel very strongly about an honest and open relationship with the candidates so we can best guide and motivate them towards their future goals.  Post audition all applicants will be emailed with a short, constructive report on their performance. 

The auditions are broken up to age categories 8-10yrs, 11-13yrs non pointe , 12-14yrs and 15yrs +.  There will be multiple teachers/ex-professionals on the panel to make an unbiased assessment of each candidate and give each dancer the attention and focus they deserve.

Dancers that show potential but are not yet successful/ ready to perform in the youth company, will be given the opportunity to take part in an invite only masterclass taken by Artistic Director, Sophie O'Donnell.  Here she will delve into personlised strengthening exercises, technical elements and performance development by learning some of the choreography created for the upcoming ballet.
